Help for Haiti – part 2

14 January 2010

The response to the devastating earthquake in Haiti continues. Through the Department for International Development,  the Labour Government is responding by sending vital equipment and trained UK experts to help while announcing $10 million in funding to support humanitarian relief work in Haiti.

Secretary of State, Douglas Alexander MP shared this video explaining how the government has responded and suggesting ways that individuals can help with party members earlier today.

Leading UK charities and relief organisations have come together through the Diasters Emergency Committee (DEC), you can do your bit to support them in their life-saving work by visiting www.dec.org.uk or call 0370 60 60 900.
