Watch Protest to Progress by Richard Curtis tonight

22 September 2013

Have you ever heard a song that made you see things differently? Have you ever seen an image that has haunted you for years? Have you ever seen a film that’s changed your view of the world and your place in it? Richard Curtis says his 30 min Protest to Progress piece is the most important film he’s ever made. This 30 minute piece takes a kaleidoscopic tour through some of the biggest protest movements and most powerful protest songs of history – from slavery and civil rights to women’s suffrage and apartheid, right up to gay rights and the battle to end extreme poverty epitomised by Live Aid and Live 8. It’s only been viewed by a very small bunch of people, and now you have the chance to see it at an exclusive private screening at Labour party conference. 4:50pm main conference hall. Don’t be late!
