Anas Sarwar (the MP for Glasgow Central) has tabled a “ten minute rule” bill on a Resource Extraction (Transparency & Reporting) Bill for 1 March in which he will give a ten minute speech in Parliament, followed by a short time for MPs to discuss the issue.
By attending the debate MPs can help to build momentum in 2 ways: by showing George Osborne there is widespread interest and support for this issue, and by increase the chances of Mr Sarwar’s Bill progressing through the various stages required to pass into law.. Please contact your local MP and ask them to attend.
