Ask your MP to support Anas Sarwar’s bill on transparency

Anas Sarwar (the MP for Glasgow Central) has tabled a “ten minute rule” bill on a Resource Extraction (Transparency & Reporting) Bill for 1 March in which he will give a ten minute speech in Parliament, followed by a short time for MPs to discuss the issue.

By attending the debate MPs can help to build momentum in 2 ways: by showing George Osborne there is widespread interest and support for this issue, and by increase the chances of Mr Sarwar’s Bill progressing through the various stages required to pass into law.. Please contact your local MP and ask them to attend.

Just go to the website of campaign group ONE and enter your postcode to find your local MP, and then use their talking points below to write your own message to them. Click here to go to ONE.org.
