National Policy Forum representative

Roulin is the National Policy Forum representative for LCID, and an Ordinary Member of LCID.

She works in global public policy and advocacy, advocating for better policy, regulation and collaboration between the private and public sector. Policy areas include climate, international relations, and sustainability – topics that often intercept social issues such as gender equality, immigration and human rights.

While her background and education are in climate change and sustainability, she is passionate about tackling interlinking social challenges at a global level and through policy and politics. This led her to join LCID.

Roulin is also a local Labour Party councillor for the London Borough of Islington since 2018 and she was recently the Executive Member for Equalities, Culture and Inclusion between 2022-2024. Her work led to the closure of an asylum hotel, over 400 more homes for refugees, the opening of Islington’s first Black Cultural Centre, and a commitment from the council to improve their support for migrants, refugees and asylum seekers through a new strategy, Islington Welcomes.

She is determined to campaign to protect UK’s position in international development, seeing this as an opportunity for both the home country and abroad.
