Chair

Heather was elected as Labour Councillor for Laycock ward in the London Borough of Islington in May 2022 where she is co-migrant champion for the Borough. Heather Is a policy advisor with the RAMP Project (Refugee, Asylum, Migration Project) working with Labour Peers and Members of Parliament on migration and refugee policy. She has been Chair of LCID for a number of years and on the steering committee for the New Diplomacy project. She has significant experience in migration, refugee policy and international development policy. With a background in social sciences and law she also has specialist expertise working in the Western Balkans and Eastern Europe on refugee integration, political engagement and conflict resolution programmes. She is also a mentor for the Polylogos Association, working on a number of political engagement projects including the SPGs.
